Review Policy

Helping authors succeed is one of my favorite things to do. I want to help aspiring writers, as well as established ones, to reach new readers for their books.

I wish I could read every single book I have been asked to review by authors, but unfortunately I am just one person. Therefore, I have some guidelines to follow if you'd like a review from me.

If you are an author or a publisher who is interested in having me read or review your book, you are more than welcome to send me a a request through email. Keep in mind, though, that I have the right to refuse any works that either has content I'm not comfortable with, or doesn't align with my personal reading tastes. You're working hard to write and promote a novel, asking me to review something I obviously wouldn't like will waste both of our time.

I have also had several instances with self-published authors who have requested that I purchase their novel in order to review it. If you are a self published author, I'm happy to read your synopsis and add your book to my TBR to potentially buy and read it in the future. However, if you cannot provide me with a free PDF or Kindle version of your book, or if you do not follow the other review policy guidelines, I cannot guarantee a review.

If I agree to read and review your book, I have no obligation to write a positive review. I'm a critical reader and an honest reviewer. I deeply respect the time, hard work, and passion that goes into writing a book. That does not mean that every book or author deserves all the praise, though. I believe there's a lot to learn through the parts of a book that are not as well done as well as the parts that make it amazing.
I will not blatantly bash a book, but I will be honest about those that fell flat for me.

I am open to participating in promotional blog tours, as long as an ARC of the book is provided, again with consideration for whether or not the book fits my reading taste. I don't want to promote a book I haven't read myself in a blog tour.
